Join Your Fellow Alums at “Battle of the Georges”

By Leah Kerkman Fogarty on December 2, 2009

Jump on the orange line tonight to watch as the Patriots take on the George Washington Colonials.

For the first time in 11 years, two of the local “George” schools (that’s your very own George Mason versus George Washington University) will duke it out on the basketball court.

The men’s basketball game starts tonight at 7 p.m. at the Smith Center, but you can get the party started a bit early with your fellow alumni at pre-game social at Tonic in D.C.

The happy hour(s) begins at 5 p.m. at the restaurant, located in Foggy Bottom at 2036 G Street, N.W. And of course this is all leading up to big show. Tickets are still available via Ticketmaster.

Colonial fans have been talking a pretty big game, so come and represent Mason at what they’re calling the “Battle of the Orange Line.” They’re planning on showing up in their buff–as in the color buff, not their birthday suits–so be sure to don your finest green and gold.

Hope to see you there!
