  1. Hello,
The 50th Reunion of the Class of ’61 Francis C. Hammond H.S. Alexandria, VA is June 10 & 11, 2011.
I am designing the Class Reunion Booklet with bios and addresses of classmates. I’m looking for Alexandria-related art that would”take us back.” What better than the Shirlington Hot Shoppes where we would get hamburgers and Cokes after the football games and cruise the parking lot to talk with friends.
May I have a jpeg of the photo above to use as part of a collage? I’ve been searching for a scan of a Hot Shoppes menu, but cannot locate one. Only 225 to 250 of the Booklet will be printed and given to members of the Class of 1961. Thank you ~

  2. Hi, Julia–
I’m going to put you in touch with Mason’s Special Collections and Archives. They are really the ones to grant the permission.

  3. Is the photo of the Hot Shoppes that was located in the City of Fairfax? If so, I would like to know if we may have permission to use it in a video production we are doing in conjunction with Historic Fairfax City, Inc. We have an oral history where the Hot Shoppes in Fairfax was mentioned. We’d love to share the image if given permission and if it is indeed of the one that was located in the City of Fairfax. Thank you.
