WGMU Alumni are organizing to help promote and maintain interest in the George Mason University Radio Station. The general manager of WGMU, Rodger Smith, is heading up this effort and would love to hear from any and all alumni who were involved with the station while students at George Mason. You may contact Rodger at (703) 993-2940 or e-mail him at rsmith6@gmu.edu. DC Metro Alumni Chapter is seeking new members to participate in their activities. The chapter is open to all George Mason University alumni who live or work in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area. David Pierpont is the chapter president and he can be reached via e-mail at dave@telematique.net. The Law Alumni Chapter will hold its annual meeting/family picnic on Saturday, June 10. Regional Events Boston Area Alumni are invited to attend a Boston Pops Broadway Review Concert with fellow Mason alumni and the alumni from other Virginia institutions, such as Old Dominion University, James Madison University, and University of Richmond. This collaborative event will be held on June 24, 2000. Los Angeles and San Diego Area Alumni are invited to join Mason alumni and alumni from other Virginia institutions at two events in their areas. On September 16, 2000, at the Hollywood Bowl, a dinner and fireworks display will be held, and on September 17, 2000, there will be a production at the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego. For Northern Virginia Alumni, a family event will be held at the ballpark on Sunday, July 9, 2000. The Alumni Association will sponsor a family picnic and ballgame at G. Richard Pfitzner Stadium, home of the Potomac Cannons, in Woodbridge, Va.
