President's Letter
The new millennium has
arrived! Along with it comes many new opportunities to celebrate the George
Mason University spirit. Join us for Homecoming on February 26. What a great
way to launch the new year!
Your Alumni Association is
involved in many activities. To enable us to serve you better and ensure
that you are kept informed of events of interest to you, we are attempting
to refine our database. To that end, it would be helpful if you would
advise us when your employment information changes. Even if it is simply
a matter of a change in business address or telephone number, we'd like
to know.
Since the last issue of the
alumni magazine, we have formed several new committees, including one
dedicated to addressing diversity. This is an extremely important issue,
one that is critical to our ability to comprehensively meet the needs
of our entire alumni body. We are also progressing on the development
of our strategic plan, which is crucial to our long-term growth and success.
Other committees are addressing
chapter development, mementos, awards, and other aspects of alumni business.
Your board is fully engaged, moving forward, and dedicated to serving
your needs, as well as those of the university. We encourage you to become
involved. Join us for Homecoming¬bring your family! Participate in
a chapter event; we have a varied offering, so something is bound to match
your schedule and interests.
Happy New Year 2000!
