President's Letter
Happy New Year! As the spring semester begins and 1998 is still fresh and new, let us strive to be more active in the life of the university, our alma mater. Alumni advance the image of The deans of the schools and colleges within George Mason are interested in developing stronger bonds with their alumni. If you have a career experience or advice to share with current students, call your department chair and volunteer your services. Many academic disciplines have generated alumni chapter groups, departmental focus groups, and constituency groups. All of these groups serve the alumni by providing networking opportunities, as well as helping students and advancing the stature of the university. Monetary contributions will always be an essential part of alumni involvement. The future of George Mason University is dependent upon its financial resources. Every gift is appreciated and important. You can help by designating all or part of your gift directly to the Alumni Association. Also, remember to notify the Alumni Affairs Office if you move or change jobs. You can reach the office by telephone at (703) 993-8696, by fax at (703) 993-8799, or by e-mail at alumni@gmu.edu. Look for more alumni information on the World Wide Web by going to our website at http://www.gmu.edu. You will see the MasonLink page. From there, click on Welcome, then Alumni. It is an exciting time to be involved at Mason, and I hope you will take advantage of it.
Best wishes,
